Prostate Cancer
Prostate cancer is currently the second most common cancer diagnosed in American men (following skin cancer) and the second leading cause of cancer death of American men.
During their lifetime, approximately one in six American men will develop prostate cancer. While scientists don't know exactly what causes prostate cancer, age appears to be the most important risk factor. More than 75 percent of tumors are diagnosed in men over age 65. In fact, a man is 33% more likely to develop prostate cancer than an American woman is to get breast cancer.
