What is zeolite?

Is Total Zeolite® Extra Strength; another form of oral detoxifications therapy?
The short answer is YES. Oral detoxifications therapy was originally developed to treat heavy metal poisoning especially lead. The term “chemical binding” refers to the ability of a compound to combine with a heavy metal so the toxin can be excreted by the kidneys and liver during detoxification. Traditional detoxifications treatment generally involves taking certain chemicals such as acid-based EDTA, DMSA, and DMPS that have an affinity for certain heavy metals. Many negative effects can occur during acid-based detoxifications therapy due to the weak binding of the agents to the heavy metals that would allow the heavy metals to be re-deposited elsewhere in the body or brain and not be excreted.

Although oxygen is necessary for proper cell function, cellular processes involving oxygen to create energy also result in oxidation.
